Before You Begin

  • To get the most out of your vívofit 3, you should set it up with either your smartphone or computer.
  • Check to make sure your smartphone has Bluetooth turned on. Keep in mind, you must pair directly through the Garmin Connect MobileTM app instead of using the Bluetooth settings on your smartphone.

Download and Install

On your smartphone, download and install the latest version of Garmin Connect Mobile.

Add Device

Open Garmin Connect Mobile to add your device and complete the setup process. If this is the first device you have paired with the Garmin Connect Mobile app, follow the on-screen instructions to create an account. If you have already paired another device with the Garmin Connect Mobile app, add your device by following the steps below.

iOS: On the tab bar at the bottom of the screen, select   > Garmin Devices > and follow the on-screen instructions.

Android: At the top of the screen, select   > Garmin Devices > and follow the on-screen instructions.

Once you see the current time of day appear on vívofit 3, you’re all set. Garmin Connect will update your stats as you sync throughout the day.

To set up your vívofit 3 on a computer, you will need an ANTTM Stick (included in some products). If you do not have an ANT Stick, you can set up your device using a smartphone, or you can purchase an ANT Stick.

Download and Install

On your computer, download the latest version of Garmin Express. When the download is finished, click the file to install Garmin Express on your computer.

Plug In the ANT Stick

To set up your vívofit 3 on a computer, you will need an ANT Stick (included in some products). If you do not have an ANT Stick, you can set up your device using a smartphone, or you can purchase an ANT Stick.

With the Garmin Express application open, plug the ANT Stick into your computer’s USB port.

Select to add a device and follow the on-screen instructions to complete the setup process.
